pleased with Kubota 4310 HST

Well we've had our used 4310 HST for almost a year now and have been quite pleased (only 220 hrs. when purchased). We bought a rear blade for snow plowing and that's worked out pretty good. The HST is verry handy for back & forth loading. The ag tires dig in a bit but have only got stuck once, in a swale due to ice. Adding Power Service prevented any diesel gelling this winter.

If I used the tractor for work, then I'd recommend getting several rear hydraulic hook-ups and maybe the front PTO capability.

Now all we have to do is convince you to get rid of that back blade for clearing snow and do it properly and you'll be all set. LOL.

Just kidding, sort of. (see my pic. # 15) Makes clearing snow a down-right pleasure, with a blower on the back, you could clear anything, I've done it.

A relative of mine has had his Kubota for 20 years now. No plans to replace it; there's no reason to, it still works as good as the day he took delivery! I'm glad you like yours.

Murf,

I have to agree with you on the snow removal issue, but you simply can't beat the price of a simple rear blade. They're an order of magnitude less in price. For your average home/land owner it can be difficult to justify the additional cost of a fancy hydraulic front blade or a rear blower. But for commercial use (like yours) or up north where you could be clearing snow daily from October through March, it's the only reasonable option. ....

Actually, in most cases my "fancy hydraulic front blade" is less than a rear blade, especially if you look at buying a top quality rear blade. You don't have the rear blade for grading though.

Here's how my style of blade compares (apologizies to the nice people at VisaCard);

Used pickup truck plow blade: $200.00
Mount to hook it to QT FEL: $ 50.00
Hydraulic lines to rear remote: $ 50.00

Total: $300.00

Not having to worry about damage or spend all that time turned around backwards...

PRICELESS !!!
